Valley Medical Center (VMC), the largest acute care hospital and clinic network between Seattle and Tacoma, is seeking a dynamic, relationship-oriented Marketing Manager to create strategic marketing plans for all VMC service lines, collaborate with internal customers on integrated marketing programs, support the VMC brand and manage vendor projects and relationships. This is a mid-level position that reports to the Director of Marketing and Community Relations.

Overview
Key account person to manage the marketing communication programs for specific service lines or the institution itself. The individual is responsible for the planning and execution of these marketing programs and works closely with internal customers, marketing team members, and third-party vendors/contractors including advertising agency, media buyers, printers, designers, market research firms and web developers.
Prerequisites
• BA degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Minimum of five years experience in a marketing department, advertising agency,
publishing house, or media organization.
• Preference given to those with direct healthcare experience especially hospitals/clinic
practices. Candidates with web and/or market research knowledge will be highly considered.
• Experience managing multi-faceted, integrated marketing programs with short lead times.
• Real-world experience in television/cable, print, publications, and the web.
Neat and well-groomed appearance with professional demeanor and customer-centric attitude.
• Capable of keeping confidential any knowledge acquired concerning patients, employees, and organizational matters.
• Must have healthcare marketing experience.
Qualifications
• Able to organize work, set priorities, manage consultants/third-party vendors, keep internal customers updated on campaign phases and oversee multiple projects concurrently.
• Able to think strategically and implement tactically. Proactively looks for ways to improve. Strong customer service ethic.
• Sense of urgency to meet deadlines and the flexibility to meet changing requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively with third-party contractors/vendors as well as internal
departments.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills. Must have healthcare marketing experience.
