Principal, Kent School District (Closing Date 3/15/10)

Kent School District is the fourth largest school district in the state of Washington and is located just 15 miles outside of Seattle.  Our district serves all of Covington and portions for Auburn, Black Diamond, Maple Valley, Renton, and SeaTac in addition to the City of Kent which is home to the fourth largest industrial center in the nation.  KSD is privileged to serve a diverse student population of nearly 27,000 students—speaking over 120 different languages.  In addition to a great student body, KSD employs over 3,700 dedicated and talented employees, 1,690 of which are teachers.

The successful candidate will have at minimum a Masters degree, 3 years of teaching experience and, 2 years (assistant principal) or 3 years (principal) of demonstrated successful school-based leadership experience.
