POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Services Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating and controlling all administrative services for the Washington Aerospace Training and Research (WATR) Center. Responsibilities will include: communicating with a variety of individuals, including college personnel and representatives from local business and industry; working with budgets and contracts; monitoring expenses to conform with various grants and contracts; processing invoices; providing spreadsheets and charts; developing and processing reports to local, state and federal agencies; and establishing a variety of systems for a new office. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, flexible and collaborative. This is a new position giving the person hired an opportunity to help define the position and play a role in the growth of a dynamic new training and research center. This is a classified position reporting to the Director of Operations of the WATR Center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree AND two years of related full-time administrative experience, OR equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with fiscal management and budget analysis.
• Computer skills: intermediate-level skills in Word and Excel; experience with Access and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experience and abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office setting located in a building where assembly training is done, which may impact noise levels. Using stairs to move between classrooms, some of which may be on the second floor, is required. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station and perform detailed tasks involving repetitive arm and hand movements is essential. This includes operation of standard office equipment such as a computer, electronic calculator, copy machine, and multi-line phone system. The ability to organize, prioritize, and accommodate numerous interruptions is essential. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English, and will include communication with people for whom English is a second language.

WORK SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

COMPENSATION:
Salary range 51. Starting salary is $3,459 - $3,819 per month, with progressive increases to $4,542, plus a full state benefits package, including tuition waiver for college classes. Experience and training will be considered in salary placement.
