Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized multiethnic nonprofit organization that provides award-winning services to refugee and immigrant women and their families in King and Snohomish Counties.

POSITION TITLE: Mental Health Program Director

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

SUPERVISES: Mental Health Program counselors and administrative staff

STATUS/PAY: Full time exempt / $60,000- 69,000 DOE

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and in consultation with the Executive Director, the Mental Health Program Director is responsible for supervision of mental health counselors and interns, reviewing clients’ intake assessment, providing limited direct counseling services and plays a leadership role in the development, expansion and implementation of the program.

The Mental Health Program Director is also responsible for management of the Mental Health Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for hiring, orienting, clinical supervision and performance evaluation of Mental Health Program staff and interns; communicate staffing changes and needs with HR, IT manager, and the Executive Director
2. Provide Mental Health Program oversight, clients’ file reviews and audits and limited direct counseling services to ensure WACs and contracts’ compliance
3. Build partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and other entities to work collaboratively in support of Program activities
4. In collaboration with the Executive Director, develop and manage the Program’s budget as well as contracts’ budget proposals
5. Responsible for timely and accurate contract invoicing and reports
6. In collaboration with Program’s staff and management, identify gaps in services and design and deliver quality innovative and culturally appropriate services
7. Work with the Mental Health Program Staff and management to ensure innovative outreach to the refugee and immigrant communities
8. Ensure that all contractual and Program’s goals and outcomes are met
9. Ensure quality of services and compliance with internal and external evaluations through review of including clients’ files, progress reports, treatment plan and intakes
10. In conjunction with the Executive Director and Mental Health Program staff, develop training materials and conduct training for staff, members of the refugee and immigrant communities and providers
11. Provide clinical ongoing supervision and annual performance evaluations for mental health staff per WAC requirements
12. Review and update mental health policies, manual, and procedures per State and WACs requirements
13. Liaison activities with ReWA’s Programs to optimize continuity of care
14. Provide ongoing administrative and clinical support and supervision to the Program staff
15. Conduct treatment plan reviews on a monthly basis and approve clients’ treatment plans
16. Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports
17. Responsible for preparation for mental health audits to ensure compliance
18. Participate in contract negotiations with funders, including Navos Mental Health Solutions, King County Mental Health Chemical Abuse and Dependency Services Division
19. Conduct site visits to satellite offices to ensure consistent quality programming
20. Meet with the Executive Director on a weekly basis, to provide updates on staff and clinical issues, programming and administrative tasks.
21. Attend management, staff meetings and agency’s trainings
22. Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a licensed Mental Health Professional or Licensed Social Worker (LISW) with at least 2 years supervisory experience- status of Approved Supervisor and status of Ethnic Minority Mental Health specialist per WAC for African and Asian populations preferred
2. Experience in the provision of individual, family and group counseling, case management and community support services
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Reliable transportation and WA state driver’s license
5. Excellent leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines
7. Ability to work effectively in a multiethnic environment with sensitivity to and respect for diverse cultures, opinions, and values
8. Two years knowledge of and experience in program management, evaluation and budgeting preferred
9. Occasional nights and weekends required
10. Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
