Corll Morrissey has accepted the position of Program and Partnership Specialist for the Professional Educator Standards Board in Olympia effective Oc. 5 (many PESB members and staff already know and have high regard for Corll, as she has served as Coordinator of City University’s Alternative Route Partnership Grant Program and manager of their M.Ed. program since 2005).
Corll brings experience in project management and teaching from the business sector and public education. In the field of public education, Corll’s path includes outdoor education, classroom teaching grades 6-12, and design/management of numerous projects for underserved populations in K-12.
As essential ingredients to effective design, Corll has worked with the Washington Education Association and other organizations with interpretation of data and facilitation of effective organization communications. She has been an adjunct instructor, consultant, and guest presenter with universities, schools, agencies, businesses, and the Dept. of Defense.
She has a B.S. in Secondary Social Sciences Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a self-designed Masters in Education from Antioch University,Seattle, applying principles of whole system design and psychology to educational systems. She holds additional endorsements in Psychology and K-8 Elementary Education. Corll’s commitment and her art reside in the design of instructional services to meet multiple organizational, community, and student needs.
