Center for Experiential Learning within Undergraduate Academic Affairs has an outstanding opportunity for a Counseling Services Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Director of the Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards, the Coordinator will advise students about funding possibilities for the wide range of study abroad programs, internship options, and other experiential learning opportunities available to UW students. The Coordinator will also develop and implement a comprehensive plan for recruiting and supporting the overseas study, internship experiences, and experiential learning opportunities of students with significant financial need in coordination with the International Programs & Exchanges Office, Office of Student Financial Aid, and the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity.

The Counseling Services Coordinator will administer the Global Opportunities Scholarships on behalf of EXP in coordination with the Office of International Programs and Exchanges, the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, the Office of Student Financial Aid, and Undergraduate Academic Affairs to include promotion of awards, review of applications, and selection of recipients. Specific duties include:

- Advise students about study abroad and other local and international internship and experiential learning opportunities that help them meet their personal and academic objectives. Identify and match students to other scholarships and sources of funding for which they are eligible, such as the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Institute for International Education scholarships. Provide guidance through workshops and information sessions about application processes, academic credit, communicating with faculty and mentors, and presenting and publishing their work.

- Manage quarterly scholarship application review, including convening review committees, training staff and faculty in review procedures, updating application questions and scoring rubrics, and managing online application system.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of recruitment and support for internationally-focused experiential learning, overseas study and internship experiences in close collaboration with International Programs and Exchanges, The Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, and Undergraduate Academic Affairs that takes advantage of a wide spectrum of campus and outside resources and targets Husky Promise and Pell Grant eligible students.

- Collect and manage program data to ensure effectiveness of the Global Opportunities program and document the impact of its scholarships.

- Establish new opportunities with service-learning and research, including but not limited to coordinating collaborations with service learning and international internship placements, working with students seeking internships in international communities and local organizations, helping students to identify faculty to supervise internships and international research.

The position requires someone who is outgoing, pro-active, organized and creative with strong public speaking and problem-solving skills. The individual must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The ability to coordinate large amounts of information and effectively work with students from a variety of cultural, ethnic, educational and economic backgrounds is essential.

Requirements:
Graduate degree from an accredited institution and three years’ work experience in international education, experiential learning or a related field OR a Bachelor’s degree plus five or more years of work experience in international education, experiential learning or a related field. Minimum of three years experience in international education, experiential learning, or related field; experience studying, researching, or working abroad.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Desired:
Experience with advising low-income, first generation, and underrepresented students. Significant experience (5+ years) in international education and experiential learning, and successful record of outreach to diverse communities of university students; experience with/knowledge of university financial aid systems and student scholarships. Masters degree preferred.

Ryther Child Center is seeking candidates dedicated to the welfare of children to join our team as a RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR. Our Residential Treatment program serves high needs children unable to live at home, many of whom are victims of physical and sexual abuse. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

A survivor of postpartum depression and PTSD secondary to childbirth, Walker passionately advocates for the advancement of perinatal mental health in the birth community. Southeast Senior Center Organizational Overview

Southeast Seattle Senior Center is located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods of Seattle and offers a welcoming community for connecting with others, becoming physically active, keeping the mind active and volunteering. For the active, Southeast offers trips, physical activity programs, educational classes and opportunities for artistic expression. The center welcomes intergenerational and multi cultural connections like the mural project that teens and elders worked on and the wellness program for Somali Women.

Outreach staff links older adults and their caregivers to supportive services that improve well being. Wellness staff provides group exercise, support groups and other evidenced based programming. Southeast offers programs and fundraising events which bring people together to celebrate diversity. The Center operates a thrift store and has a diverse base of funding to support its operations.

The Southeast Seattle Senior Center was founded in 1961 and joined Senior Services in 1967. The Center was one of the first centers established in Seattle. As the parent organization, Senior Services employs all of the staff, manages all benefits, arranges for property and liability insurance and handles most of the accounting, including filing tax returns. Southeast serves an average of 1,600 people each year and has an annual budget of over $340,000. The Center has 145 volunteers who work with 7 staff to operate its numerous programs.

Summary
Southeast Seattle Senior Center is looking for a Finance Coordinator who delights in older adults and is interested in contributing to a diverse multi-service center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform overall bookkeeping duties; organize and record daily receipts for deposit; make daily bank deposits and insure that all proper cash control procedures are followed.
- Submit monthly reports to City of Seattle and Senior Services on a timely basis. Maintain and update center database information and prepare reports as requested
- Manage accounts payables and receivables with direction from center Director
- Maintain and order Center office supplies as necessary.
- Open the Center each workday per the procedure established by the center.
- Process daily mail and coordinate bulk mail projects, as needed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a cohesive office team, working cooperatively with and sharing in housekeeping and operational responsibilities as agreed to with the Center Director.

Consejo Counseling & Referral Service is Washington’s premiere mental health and multi?service agency supporting the state’s growing Latino population. For more than 30 years, Consejo has delivered a range of responsive, culturally appropriate services that transform, strengthen, and empower adults, youth, and families.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to help Consejo’s new Executive Director write the organization’s next chapter, in which a robust base of philanthropic support complements the agency’s significant government funding.

The Development Manager’s primary responsibility is building an annual fund program that produces consistent and measurable results. S/he will manage relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations with the highest integrity, helping Consejo build lasting partnerships. The successful candidate will be a flexible generalist whose fundraising expertise helps the agency to prioritize opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the annual fundraising plan. Keep agency leadership informed through timely,
meaningful reports.
- Increase the size and engagement of Consejo’s donor community through a systematic approach to donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Engage staff, board members, and key volunteers effectively in donor relations
- Maximize Consejo’s opportunities for foundation and corporate support, including grants, sponsorships, and matching gifts
- Lead all aspects of stakeholder communications, including announcements, newsletters, and annual report
- Ensure the integrity of donor records by accurately and efficiently managing the agency’s donor database, electronic, and hard copy files
- Support the Executive Director in improving Consejo’s visibility and public relations

Qualifications
The Development Manager will:
- Exude enthusiasm for Consejo’s mission, and understand Latino community and culture
- Bring two or more years experience as a paid development staff member in an organization that raised at least $250,000 in charitable donations
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Washington’s philanthropic sector
- Exhibit exceptional communications skills in written and spoken English. The ability to additionally speak and write professionally in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Be collaborative, creative, dependable, and a master of details
- Possess the highest degree of integrity and compassion

All candidates must be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and will need to learn GiftsWorks and ConstantContact quickly. Consejo will give preference to candidates with recent, relevant fundraising training or certification. The Development Manager will work at Consejo’s Seattle headquarters during regular business hours, but must have the flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends and to travel to Consejo’s other locations as appropriate for the job.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Edmonds Conference Center, owned and operated by Edmonds Community College, supports the college vision and serves the community by maintaining a self-support multi-use facility for educational, cultural, business and social purposes that is an integral part of the community, cultural and business life of downtown Edmonds.

The Customer Service Coordinator provides front line sales and marketing for the Edmonds Conference Center and administrative support to the Director. Duties include:
• Responsibility for client services such as answering phones, returning calls/emails, sales, tours, contracts, receipt of money, event logistics, event hosting, post-event management, and taking appropriate actions to resolve customer complaints.
• Providing direction for customer service staff; completing monthly schedules for staff and problem solving scheduling issues; and helping customer service staff to prioritize tasks and establish deadlines.
• Working with Director to interview and recommend the hiring of part-time customer service staff; overseeing and training staff regarding college policies and procedures required by their position.
• Complying with money handling procedures.
• Providing office support and overseeing the maintenance of files.
• Facilitating communication among Edmonds Conference Center staff and various offices on campus.
• Alternating with Director for on call responsibility for night and weekend events.
This is a classified position reporting to the Director of Community Education and Conference Center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communication, business or a related field.
• Two years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing, event planning or a related field.
• Proficiency in word processing, electronic communications, spreadsheets and databases.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in person, on the phone and electronically.

NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES:
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse clientele with a variety of needs and expectations.
• Flexible and capable of prioritizing when unexpected issues arise.
• Ability to work under stressful situations and manage stress appropriately.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station and operate standard office equipment such as a computer requiring repetitive arm and hand movements is essential. The position also requires some lifting and the moving of chairs, tables, media carts and coffee urns, etc. The ability to produce clearly written documents using proper grammar and punctuation is required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English, and will include communication with people for whom English is a second language.

WORK SCHEDULE:
35 hours per week. Generally 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with some evenings and weekends required.

COMPENSATION:
Salary range 39. Starting salary is $2,273 - $2,498 per month, with progressive increases to $2,955 for 35 hours per week, plus a full state benefits package, including tuition waiver for college classes. Experience and training will be considered in salary placement.
