SUPERVISOR: Support Team Leader

RESPONSIBILITIES: The project support staff for the National Indian Child Welfare Association is responsible for handling administrative and logistical details of NICWA’s work activities. The following specific responsibilities must be carried out:

- Ensures that all assigned administrative work is completed in an accurate, professional and timely manner
- Ensures that correspondence, announcements, publications, proceedings records, personnel, and facilities involved with the provision of all activities related to technical assistance, research, government affairs and advocacy, training, and consultation originating with requests from NICWA staff, outside agencies, and existing contract activities are prepared and planned in a professional and timely manner

DUTIES:

1. Types and finalizes rough drafts making accurate spelling, grammatical and formatting corrections within the required timeframe on a variety of documents, such as letters, memorandums, reports, proposals, testimony, spreadsheets, handouts, etc.
2. Composes letters, memoranda, meeting minutes, and other business documents as well as assists in the design and layout of brochures and flyers in a timely and professional manner
3. Processes recommendations from project lead staff on the provision of technical assistance, research, government affairs and advocacy, training and consultation on a variety of contracts and projects and maintains documentation of event planning
4. Makes the arrangements for the recommended consultant(s) and contractors who will provide the technical assistance, consultation, training or other activity, such as public policy contact, confirmation of negotiated fee, discussion of travel details and follows up with necessary documents to confirm the consultant(s) participation
5. Makes travel arrangements for consultants, presenters, grantee staff, NICWA staff or others, such as constituents, ensuring to the best of his/her ability that the traveler encounters little or no problem in getting to and from the assignment and that transportation fares and other travel costs are purchased to the best advantage of NICWA
6. Works with project managers on facility specifications, such as meeting rooms, banquet and/or catering services, and lodging, including negotiation of hotel/facility and other supplier agreements to the best advantage of NICWA
7. Generates materials, such as name badges, handouts and/or manuals and other required supplies, ensuring they are shipped to the site ahead of time and available for use when needed
8. Enters and updates various project data into the Access database system, ensuring accurate and timely entries
9. Assists in event and other evaluation activities by collecting evaluation forms, ensuring data is entered into the database and accurately summarized in a timely manner
10. Provides routine updates on current workload and other activity to the immediate supervisor as well as giving progress reports on assigned projects to the NICWA staff whom they support
11. Performs general administrative and secretarial functions, such as word processing, disseminating materials, setting up conference calls, broadcast faxing and/or emailing, photocopying, filing, and scanning with accuracy and in a professional and timely manner and provides backup support for other support staff
12. Other duties as assigned, including participation on various internal teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires the following qualifications to perform the above duties and carry out the above responsibilities:

1. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, business skills and/or secretarial services, human resources management, or social services, or equivalent specialized experience
2. Has strong working knowledge of Indian culture, Indian Country, tribal social service systems and tribal government structure
3. Has demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
4. Has demonstrated the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in an effective and timely manner
5. Has ability to work in a team environment, both in leadership and peer relationships
6. Has demonstrated strong proofreading and editing skills with excellent grammatical skills
7. Can capably operate a variety of office equipment, such as a computer, laptop computer, photocopier, scanner, printer, postage meter, etc.
8. Can capably use Microsoft Word or other word processing program and has ability to be trained to capably use other software programs, such as PageMaker and Access
9. Has ability to move 25-30 lb. items
10. Has ability to travel approximately 10%-20% of the work year

2. Data Reporting Analyst

This position is responsible for ensuring that Fundraising data, with particular emphasis on Workplace Giving data, is accurately entered, maintained, and reported in Enterprise and other supporting data sources. 

Analyzes workplace giving donor financial data to help inform fundraising decision-making and strategy development.  Develops and implements the standards for data integrity and proposes updates to Enterprise and other donor databases to the IT Team.  Designs, writes and produces all reports necessary for supporting the Workplace Giving strategies.  Troubleshoots and tests new databases that pull data from all organization databases and data sources. Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized multiethnic nonprofit organization that provides award-winning services to refugee and immigrant women and their families in King and Snohomish Counties.

POSITION TITLE: Mental Health Program Director

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

SUPERVISES: Mental Health Program counselors and administrative staff

STATUS/PAY: Full time exempt / $60,000- 69,000 DOE

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and in consultation with the Executive Director, the Mental Health Program Director is responsible for supervision of mental health counselors and interns, reviewing clients’ intake assessment, providing limited direct counseling services and plays a leadership role in the development, expansion and implementation of the program.

The Mental Health Program Director is also responsible for management of the Mental Health Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for hiring, orienting, clinical supervision and performance evaluation of Mental Health Program staff and interns; communicate staffing changes and needs with HR, IT manager, and the Executive Director
2. Provide Mental Health Program oversight, clients’ file reviews and audits and limited direct counseling services to ensure WACs and contracts’ compliance
3. Build partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and other entities to work collaboratively in support of Program activities
4. In collaboration with the Executive Director, develop and manage the Program’s budget as well as contracts’ budget proposals
5. Responsible for timely and accurate contract invoicing and reports
6. In collaboration with Program’s staff and management, identify gaps in services and design and deliver quality innovative and culturally appropriate services
7. Work with the Mental Health Program Staff and management to ensure innovative outreach to the refugee and immigrant communities
8. Ensure that all contractual and Program’s goals and outcomes are met
9. Ensure quality of services and compliance with internal and external evaluations through review of including clients’ files, progress reports, treatment plan and intakes
10. In conjunction with the Executive Director and Mental Health Program staff, develop training materials and conduct training for staff, members of the refugee and immigrant communities and providers
11. Provide clinical ongoing supervision and annual performance evaluations for mental health staff per WAC requirements
12. Review and update mental health policies, manual, and procedures per State and WACs requirements
13. Liaison activities with ReWA’s Programs to optimize continuity of care
14. Provide ongoing administrative and clinical support and supervision to the Program staff
15. Conduct treatment plan reviews on a monthly basis and approve clients’ treatment plans
16. Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports
17. Responsible for preparation for mental health audits to ensure compliance
18. Participate in contract negotiations with funders, including Navos Mental Health Solutions, King County Mental Health Chemical Abuse and Dependency Services Division
19. Conduct site visits to satellite offices to ensure consistent quality programming
20. Meet with the Executive Director on a weekly basis, to provide updates on staff and clinical issues, programming and administrative tasks.
21. Attend management, staff meetings and agency’s trainings
22. Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a licensed Mental Health Professional or Licensed Social Worker (LISW) with at least 2 years supervisory experience- status of Approved Supervisor and status of Ethnic Minority Mental Health specialist per WAC for African and Asian populations preferred
2. Experience in the provision of individual, family and group counseling, case management and community support services
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Reliable transportation and WA state driver’s license
5. Excellent leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines

Job Opening - Special Events Assistant

The Phinney Neighborhood Association is seeking a part-time special events assistant who will have primary responsible for the PNA’s Home Design and Remodel Fair in late January, serve as assistant coordinator for the PNA auction in late April and assist as needed with logistics, set up and wrap up tasks for several additional PNA events during the year.

We anticipate that total hours for this position will amount to about 450-500 hours over the course of the year but hours/week will probably fluctuate based on event dates and deadlines. Occasional evening and weekend hours required, including during the events.

DESCRIPTION: This position entails participating, as a service provider, in a research program in partnership with the YWCA in Snohomish County and the University of Washington. The YWCA subcontracts to provide an infant mental health, relationship based intervention program developed at the University of Washington. The aim of the study is to provide this intervention in a randomized clinical trial to families who are under investigation for child maltreatment. The intervention, Promoting First Relationships, is a 10-week long program provided to families in their homes. Families will have a child 10 to 24 months of age that will be the focus of the study. This position will be trained extensively to use an established curriculum based on the use of healthy relationships and interactions to promote attachment and social-emotional health in young children and to support competent care giving in parents. Because this position is also a part of a research study it involves videotaped observations of the service provider and parent during interaction on an occasional basis for the purpose of research. This position requires the commitment to supporting the competence of parents/caregivers and to promoting the social-emotional health of young children as well as willingness to participate in a research program.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide intervention in a randomized clinical trial to families who are under investigation for child maltreatment. Provide 10-week long program to families in their homes who have a child/ren 10 to 24 months of age. Use an established curriculum based on the use of healthy relationships and interactions to promote attachment and social-emotional health in young children and to support competent care giving in parents. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in psychology, education, social work, or mental health fields AND related work experience in the areas of child development, special needs, or counseling/psychology. Registered as a counselor in the state of Washington. Ability to work evenings and weekends, ability to work independently, be flexible.

DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Donor Services Manager, this staff member will perform a wide variety of tasks to assist the Donor Services team with maintaining the efficiency and integrity of a 50,000+ record database while supporting the fundraising and outreach efforts of the YWCA of Seattle – King – Snohomish County.
HOURS, RATE, BENEFITS: Temporary position, not to exceed six months. 30 hours or more per week, Monday-Friday 9-5pm. $13.70/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the operation of Raiser’s Edge database: data integrity and user interface. Help run reports to meet data needs. Support Database “clean-up” strategies to purge unnecessary information, eliminate duplicate records, streamline data input and keep the database efficient and accessible. Assist with Gift Processing and Revenue; United Way (non-conforming contributions). Net Communities. Assist with incoming and outgoing data for Net Communities. Support the daily processing of all online gift donations; event registrations and e-newsletter subscriber requests. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge, experience and ability in working with Donor/Relational Databases (Raiser’s Edge Version 7.0 or greater preferred). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising support or database management preferred. One year of experience in fundraising support or database process support. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, thorough working knowledge of computers and database software Attention to detail a must; ability to analyze data for accuracy and inconsistencies. Ability to interpret data needs of others and define and communicate data processes. Strong oral and written communication skills.
